Hello,
I notice there is various version of cdi 210 (210/00 , 210/20 210/40 ...). How can I identify the version of my philips cdi 210 ?
Thanks in advance
Hello Uraxyd and welcome to The World of CD-i.
Look at the back of your player.
You will find this little sticker with numbers. In my case it's 210/40.
Stay safe!

Thank you very much 🙂
I have a 210/20, now I must find a new optical cdm9 type.
But on Aliexpress, I only find cdm 12.4 for cdi 210/40, do you know if this type of optical can work on my 210/20 ?
Thanks !
No, you can't substitute CDM9 with CDM12.x
CDM9 is quite expensive, usually around 100€
Are you sure that it needs to be replaced, what are the symptoms?
Have you done troubleshooting, e.g. as described in this article: https://www.theworldofcdi.com/open-source/hardware-repair/err-on-player-display/
Any update about this issue?
@rosewood is absolutely right, I would say 80% of this issue is easily solved using this method.
@uraxyd please take a look at this other article from our Open-Source Hardware Repair section about the CDM versions.

I am going to move this thread to Open-Source Hardware Repair Forum section, it is the correct place to be.
