Micro Kid's
Quote from candela on 02/05/2021, 18:07I found some old VHS recordings I made in the 90s of a french TV Show about video games called Micro Kid's https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Micro_Kid%27s
You can download them here https://mega.nz/folder/6oliiQiI#eVQUdrCR2ORUbgUw74QZAw (French audio only)
The mpeg2 files are quite large since I simply used a VHS/DVD-R combo player to convert the VHS tapes to DVD in the highest bitrate possible to avoid introducing additional digital artifacts. I had to do multiple recordings and splice them together since the VHS player would sometimes loose tracking and introduce gaps in the recordings. I don't have PC capture hardware nor time/desire to try all kinds of filters to improve the quality. Anyone is welcome to re-encode or try to clean them up, add subtitles, etc
I managed to identify some episodes using https://www.abandonware-videos.org/affiche_vid.php?vid=6 where also some other episodes are for download. Someone has uploaded these to Youtube https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL7eS13FR3XYFg-VeUU353Uno641_Hv6qc
The most interesting ones with CD-i sections I couldn't identify and are probably not yet available
- microkids_1992-xx-xx_episode_unknown_1: interview with Jean-Claude Larue, Directeur Général "Philips Interactive Media Systems"
- microkids_1992-xx-xx_episode_unknown_2: section about Escape from Cybercity
- microkidsmultimedia_1994-12-xx_episode_unknown_1: interview with Didier Balik, Directeur de production "Philips Interactive Média France" about Dictionaire Hachette
Some of the other episodes on Youtube also show CD-i games

Thank you very much for your videos!
Can I use them?

Sure, I also send the download link to abandonware-videos. Maybe you can put the episodes or CD-i sections on your youtube for easy viewing.
I also uploaded an episode of the Belgian TV show Luna Park. At the end Burn Cycle on CD-i is shown

Quote from candela on 29/06/2021, 00:00Found a mouldy tape with 5 more episodes. After some cleaning in my extra VCR player I managed to capture them. There are 3 complete and 2 partial episodes (of which 1 is barely watchable). They are named microkids_1993-xx-xx_episode_unknown_2-6. Some CD-i content
- microkids_1993-xx-xx_episode_unknown_3: L'ange et le Démon review + Top 3 Cd-i sales
- microkids_1993-xx-xx_episode_unknown_4: Dimo's Quest review + Kether footage in background

As you are from Belgium, how do you managed to record it?

FR3 was a channel available on (unencrypted) analog cable in the 90s. We had channels from all over Europe back then, Germany/France/Netherlands/Luxembourg/Italy/UK
