|Description||This informative program teaches students about on of the most fundamental concepts in nature – ecosystems – and tells how they exists in a delicate state of balance. Beautiful footage shows how plants and animals interact with each other and with environment. Each element in an ecosystem is interrelated and if any one part of a system is destroyed all other parts are affected. Ecosystems ranging in size from an aquarium to a pond, and the materials of an ecosystem – air, water, land and life – are examined.
Viewers will learn that the concepts that apply to smaller ecosystems also apply to the biggest ecosystem of all – the biosphere of our earth – and are urged to work toward preserving it.
