Our Facebook Group Log created in February 2017 to let everyone follow the development of The World of CD-i is no longer needed at it was used until the website opening in April 2019.
People got the possibility to be apart of most of the developments steps we made, the presentation of our team, and also some news around the world about the CD-i.

We have now changed the name and the logo of the Facebook Group.
It is now a website’s support group, feel free to post there any questions or photos of your collection!

New Team members @ The World of CD-i

At The World of CD-i, each team member knows exactly what to do.
We are in constant contact each other, to define new projects and areas to work on.
That is why we proudly announce 2 new official team members for his respective target.

CD-i Fan, the Emulator creator.
He will exclusively work on the Title Development section, under the Open-Source project, and of course continue with BurnCycle (emulator tester) to make a better experience of his Emulator.

Alan_CDiZone the biggest CD-i lover I ever know!
He will provide some experience of his incredibly huge collection and other material to the site database.
He is the man behind the now sadly closed Philips CD-i Zone Facebook page. He is a very busy man, but he will for sure answer you as soon as possible.

We proudly upload our famous Philips CD-i Backup Guide under PDF format! 16 pages full of information in a “Do it Yourself” way.
Written by Blurb69 back in 2004, it is now updated to version 3.0.
The objective of the guide was and still is, to avoid using your original titles. We all know the difficulty to find CD-i titles due to high prices and the rarity of some of them. Using a copy of your own discs, you will protect your personal collection!

What’s new on version 3.0?
– Updated new website logo.

Leonardo Da Vinci 500 years death celebrating

The world is celebrating 500 years after the death of a Great Master.
Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519) was a painter, architect, inventor, and student of all things scientific.
Born in Italy (Vinci) and died in France (Clos-Lucé). He past his all life in investing everything around him and invents many things that only today we able to reproduce.
His most famous work is La Gioconda, best known as Mona Lisa.

Why am I talking about him? What Leonardo Da Vinci has to see with CD-i?
EVERYTHING of course!
As an inventor, just like Philips, he was always ahead of its time, just like CD-i was.

Part of his work was also involved into the human anatomy, and this is why we want to celebrate the 500 years of his death with The Human Body, a Multimedia CD-i title based on Leonardo Da Vinci work, it will show you everything you need to know about the most complex and perfect mechanism in the universe.
