The unreleased titles is a very interesting subject. While we was “out” of the scene and preparing our return, we made a lot of research. From this research came Gremlin Interactive (bought by Infogrames). This is a long way after an interview we’ll publish this year. This leads us to an unreleased CD-i title, Litil Divil™ 2.

Following RetroMan’s pictures contribution to “The World of CD-i”, here is something really special!
A cards collection from American Laser Games, those cards are from “Fast Draw Showdown” cabinet. Mad Dog McCree™ appears as the most dangerous outlaw.
Tom Anthony from our Facebook Support Group shared with us the following flyer, you can clearly see the cards set.
Who never dreamed to play on an arcade cabinet like this one…?
The cabinet could include a Ticket Dispenser or a Trading Card Dispenser for the American Laser Games Trading Cards.
The cards are thicker than a Panini sticker but thinner than a playing card.
A complet full set of 100 cards, all uniques, only with personages appearing in “Fast Draw Showdown”.
Each personage have his own description i.e. what he likes or hates, skills and classified under 3 categories: Deputy, Sheriff and Marshall.
3 Categories just like the same number of game options.
This cards collection wasn’t for sale as you car clearly see “For Promotional Use Only” on each back side of the cards.
This collection is under the name of “Gunfighter Series”.
Take a closer look of Mad Dog McCree’s card, the number 99…
At the back side you can see a difference between the CD-i game name and the cards collection…
On the CD-i game, you will find a ™ (trademark) at the end of the name. But at the end of the same name on this specific card, you will find a ® (registred).

Here is something we really don’t use to see a lot, Marlboro – Follow Your Dreams.
This is a free promotional disc from Philip Morris, the owner of Marlboro brand.
The objective was to promote the Marlboro Adventure Team that used in the 90’s to make sports adventures events all around the world. Motorbike, jeep and rafting was the main sports all combined into an unique competition to where the American cowboy lifestyle was also very improved. During 10 days teams from all around the world raced to be the best.
This is a German title, I will try my best!

The World of CD-i is the official tester of the CD-i Emulator.
We have access to the upcoming 0.5.3 beta 5 version. During our tests we are talking “in-loco” with CD-i Fan (emulator creator) to fix right away any easy bugs to improve compatibilities. Most of the FMV games are now working without any issues.
BurnCycle, our CD-i Emulator tester has completed another raw of tests. For anything concerning tests, contact him at burncycle@theworldofcdi.com.

10 kilograms that includes CD-i players, titles included games, kids and multimedia, accessories and something special to me… mmmmm… I can’t tell you yet… all right, just one tip: “an Italian collection set”. 😛

Here is a Professional CD-i title called Bradley Fighting Vehicle.
This title has need produced by ProSoft for the US Army Infantry School. The objective was to train soldiers to manipulate the Bradley Fighting Vehicles used on the Operation Desert Storm and learn about all the equipment.
They learn about all the different equipment, the localisation of the all most important parts of the vehicle and how to access them, like the engine. The missiles and ammo localisations, smoke grenades and other material. How to use the GPS, the night vision and many others equipment.
A lot of Full Motion Video is used on this title with real soldiers using real fighting vehicles. Everything is well explained in detail.
After everything learn, you also can check the Glossary for extra information about a specific item.
Finally, a test for a soldier will be offered, after the Sustainment Training.
The soldier have to inter his Security Social Number (SSN) and he will answer 20 questions. You will know if the answer is correct, but if it is wrong, you will also know the correct answer.
After the test done, you have to exit the game and access the Storage of your CD-i player to check your results.
Your SSN will be shown as the points of your test.

Antonio Vega – Océano de Sol is the very first Spanish album using Digital Video on CD-i.
Thanks to Blazers we can now have a look at the covers. This video music title was free back in 1994 as it was sponsored by Passport Scotch.
It is also the first time we can see the Digital Video Cartridge logo stamped on the disc, a very cool detail.
This disc is a CD-i Ready title, so it also can be playable on any audio CD player.
