Description | Welcome to the CD-i on Portuguese Baroque Art. This disc enables you to see the various art forms of this period and their presence in history and society. There is a choice between Portuguese and English for the audio comment and for the texts. You make your choice right at the beginning of the disc. The ability to switch between languages at any time is also available. After the Historical introduction to the subject you arrive at the Main Menu. Here you can choose between 3 great sequences about life in Portugal in the Baroque Age: The first sequence concerns the King and his Court, the second relates to the Clergy and Religious Awareness and finally, Nobility. You can also enter the Gallery for further information on this subject. In any sequence, use Action Button 1 to pause, or Action Button 2 to skip. At times, an icon with an eye will come up on screen. Click it for further information. Inside the Gallery you can extend your knowledge on Portuguese Baroque Art, through extensive consultation in hypertext. Use the arrows on the control bar to page through the text. You will discover some of the most important Portuguese Baroque art forms in the Gallery main menu. You can use the Alphabetic Index to look for any other specific subject of interest. Just click the ABC icon on the bar. |
